	Deborah Ullrich has served NYSSO members in a number of capacities, most recently as President of the former Central Chapter.  She is serving a three year term as Region 3 Director. She can be reached at 315-952-2194 or dullrich@twcny.rr.com.
	Dale Clemens is serving a new (September '07) three year term as Region 3 Director. He is a former Chapter officer and is serving as the Region 3 Webmaster, and chairman of the Contact Lens Committee.  The Contact Lens Committee is always looking for fresh input and volunteers to help promote the advancement of the Contact Lens Practitioner.  He can be reached at 315-752-0555, M-F, 9am to 4pm, or dclemens@twcny.rr.com.
	John Kennedy is no stranger to NYSSO members across New York State.  He is serving a one year term as Region 3 Director and has been elected Society President.  He has the distinction of being the only member in NYSSO's history to hold the post twice (1985-87).  John can be reached at 315-782-8725.

Class begins with about 65 members in attendance.

It's great to see such a good turn out for Central New York's major continuing education seminar!  Members from as far away as Binghamton, New York City, Rochester and Plattsburgh traveled to the Region 3 Symposium.  We thank all that attended because without them our society would not be as strong and unified.

          

Director Deb Ullrich makes a few anouncements and introduces the first speaker Andy Taddeo.   The society would like to thank Andy for his tireless committment and dedication to the education of the Opticianry profession.
